Digitalisasi Sistem Manajemen SDM dalam Meningkatkan Produktivitas Karyawan Generasi Milenial dan Z

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has driven the transformation of human resource management (HRM), particularly in enhancing the productivity of Millennial and Generation Z employees. This study aims to examine the impact of HR digitalization, including e-recruitment, e-performance, e-learning, and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), on the work productivity of young employees. A quantitative approach with an explanatory survey design was employed, involving employees from several companies in Jakarta and its surrounding areas. Data were collected through online questionnaires and semi-structured interviews and analyzed using multiple linear regression and thematic analysis. The findings indicate that HR digitalization significantly improves work efficiency, team collaboration, and employee motivation. Millennials and Generation Z respond positively to digital HR systems due to easier access to information, process transparency, and personalized development opportunities. The results suggest that the effectiveness of HR digitalization depends not only on technology but also on organizational readiness, employees’ digital competencies, and workplace culture adaptation. Practically, this study provides recommendations for HR managers to design technology-based HR strategies that are adaptive, innovative, and aligned with the characteristics of younger generations. Thus, HR digitalization serves as a strategic catalyst for enhancing productivity, engagement, and organizational competitiveness in the digital era.
